Life's a beach... Surf it up!
Good quote is from Farmer"s Almanac : A real friend is someone who takes a winter vacation on a sun-drenched beach and does not send a card. Fashions change, technology advances but when it comes to a holiday chill-out, the beach is still the number one destination. By 2020 international arrivals are expected to be a mere 1.6 billion a year and around 0.4 billion give or take a few will be long-haul visitors. Given that 50% of travel is related to leisure and a third of all holiday destinations are beachfronts, the need for an on-line tool to reveal where to stay on or by the beach is an essential holiday resource.
Life might not always be a beach but holidays with busy, beach roads certainly aren"t either. Travellers forever wistfully talk about many beach destinations before they became big, urban sprawls built up behind and around the beach. This means that many hotels seem or even claim to be beachfront in a bid to get the beach-lovers flip-flop in the door, even when they are not officially right by the sands. Life"s a beach when it comes to finding an answer to one of life"s eternal questions: where can I stay in the world that is on the beach? The beach will never go out of fashion.
It"s hard for me to put into words why I like the beach so much. Everything about it is renewing for me, almost like therapy...Beach Therapy ! I have always loved the beach. The smell of the salty water, the wind in my face, the gentle roar of the waves all combine to create a sense of peace and calm. Why do we love the sea? It is because it has some potent power to make us think things we like to think.
